RE-RECORDING MIXERS & FOLEY

ARAN TANCHUM (Foley Mixer)

BIOGRAPHY

ARAN TANCHUM
desgin

Aran was born in South Africa and raised in Southern California, where he got a BS in Music Recording from USC. Before graduating, Aran got a taste for film audio by taking a graduate level documentary class with Tom Holman (of THX fame), and quickly began working as a sound editor after graduating in 2004. In the fall of ‘04 Aran started working for Oracle Post and met D.J. Lynch, Rob McIntyre, Ian Nyeste, and Vincent Guisetti, and they have worked together continuously for 20 years since.

After working initially as a sound editor and VO/ADR mixer, Aran started recording foley with Vincent for “The X’s”, their first show from Nickelodeon. Soon after, they landed “SpongeBob SquarePants” and the 3rd season of “Avatar: The Last Airbender”, followed a few years later by “The Preacher” and “Silicon Valley” tv series, all of which remain career highlights.

When Aran is not working, he enjoys being with his family, cooking and baking, traveling and being in nature, and watching movies.
